This week’s Artist Spotlight Series features two artists submitted by our partner – eOne Music. Both are established artists with new albums. One is high volume heavy metal the other is soulful jazz. Take a listen below…
High On Fire

Bilal
Grammy nominated vocalist/songwriter/producer and dynamic live performer Bilal draws his artistry draws from jazz, soul, and hip-hop. With fans that includes Eryka Badu, Janelle Monae, Q-Tip and Ali Shaheed Muhammed and featured spots with, among others, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Diddy and Common, Bilal made his major label debut with 2001’s First Born Second. The CD sold over 300, 000 copies and announced that Bilal was an artist to watch. Bilal has most recently collaborated with Kendrick Lamar on his most recent album “To Pimp a Butterfly.” Bilal’s new album, “In Another Life,” represents the next chapter in the strong narrative Bilal began with his earlier works and showcases Bilal’s unique ability to reinterpret jazz, soul, and funk for a contemporary audience.
